Using Pre-Printed Form or Not?
Companies that are producing bills or invoice like electric companies tend to be faced with a problem of selecting pre-printed form or not. Using pre-printed form is considered cost effective because it can use cheaper ink for the fixed field and logo. Also pre-printed form could speed up the process of printing due to the fact that it only prints the variable data on the papers. The disadvantage is that the layout of pre-printed form should be the same margin for all the papers. If not, the variable data could be printed out of defined layout. Other thins is the flexibility of changing the design. If the layout design changes, all preprinted form (that have been ready) will be useless.
Nowadays, the printer has undergone many researches. The speed of printing is noticeably increased even when it print large area. For example: epson tm-t88iv pos printer , it can print up to 7.9″ per second. The cost of ink has been reduced with new mixture of chemical. In the end, it gives a company an option not to use the pre-printed form. All the layout (including logo and fixed fields) can be directly printed by the printers. It gives more flexibility for the company to change the layout everytime they want.
