Bored of working abroad

I have been working abroad for 8 years now.   I go home to my home country twice a year.  But why I get bored? There are tons of people are working abroad longer than me and it seems that they are just doing just fine.  I tried to ask myself and finally I know why:

1. The environment is not suitable with what i want.  I am not a choosy type of person.  But it seems that the countries I visited are mostly quite different with the country where I grew.  This give me an uncomfortable situation.  Even if I have adapted well.  But it is just not like home.

2. Being single.  You could laugh at my second reason.  However, I am thinking that if ever I have a family with me traveling together, I might not get bored. Having a family is one of my goal, that is why I feel a little emptynes achieving work related target but not achieving this goal yet.
